Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TicketPlug platform ("Platform"), available at ticketplug.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

TicketPlug is a commission-based ticketing platform that enables event organisers to create, manage, and sell tickets for events. The Platform also allows registered users to become ticket sellers, creating an organic distribution network for event organisers.

TicketPlug acts as an intermediary between event organisers, ticket sellers, and ticket buyers. TicketPlug is not the organiser of any event listed on the Platform unless explicitly stated.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Ticket Purchases

When you purchase a ticket through the Platform:

  • You are entering into a contract with the event organiser, not with TicketPlug
  • Tickets are delivered electronically via the Platform
  • Each ticket contains a unique QR code for event entry
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless the event organiser permits transfers
  • You must present a valid ticket (digital or printed) for entry to the event
  • Duplicate or counterfeit tickets will be refused entry

5. Selling Tickets

Registered users may apply to become ticket sellers on the Platform. As a seller:

  • You receive a unique referral link for each event you choose to sell
  • Commission rates are set by the event organiser and displayed before you opt in
  • Commission is earned on each completed ticket sale made through your referral link
  • Commission earnings are tracked in real time via your seller dashboard
  • You must not misrepresent events, ticket availability, or pricing
  • You must not engage in spamming or other deceptive marketing practices

TicketPlug reserves the right to revoke seller status for violations of these Terms.

6. Organiser Responsibilities

Event organisers who list events on the Platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate event details including date, time, venue, and description
  • Honour all tickets sold through the Platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including licensing and safety requirements
  • Notify TicketPlug and ticket holders promptly of any event changes or cancellations
  • Process refunds in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable law
  • Not list events that are fraudulent, illegal, or violate third-party rights

7. Fees

TicketPlug charges a service fee of 6.95% + 59p per paid ticket sold. This fee is deducted automatically from the ticket sale proceeds before payout to the organiser.

  • Free tickets incur no service fee
  • The service fee covers payment processing, platform access, seller network, and customer support
  • There are no upfront costs, monthly subscriptions, or hidden fees
  • Seller commission (if applicable) is paid from the organiser's share, not from the buyer's payment

8. Payments and Payouts

  • Ticket payments are processed securely through our PCI-compliant payment system
  • Organisers receive payouts to their registered bank account after applicable fees and commissions are deducted
  • Payout timing is subject to our payout schedule and any applicable holding periods
  • Seller earnings may be withdrawn at any time with no minimum payout threshold

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property displayed on the Platform are the property of TicketPlug or their respective owners. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any Platform content without prior written consent.

Content you upload to the Platform (such as event descriptions, images, or logos) remains your property. By uploading content, you grant TicketPlug a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without permission
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse promotions
  • Resell tickets above face value unless permitted by the event organiser

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • TicketPlug is not liable for the conduct of event organisers, sellers, or other users
  • TicketPlug is not liable for event cancellations, changes, or the quality of events
  • TicketPlug's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid through the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim
  • TicketPlug is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with an event organiser or another user, you should first attempt to resolve it directly with that party. TicketPlug may, at its discretion, assist in mediating disputes but is not obligated to do so.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
